Description
Welcome to your peaceful escape in the heart of Alfama, Lisbon’s most historic and atmospheric neighborhood. Just a 7-minute walk from Santa Apolónia Station and steps from the Fado Museum and São Jorge Castle, this one-bedroom apartment is the perfect base for soaking up the city’s charm and culture. The space This compact, modern apartment features a comfortable double bed, air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a clean, minimalist design. It’s ideal for solo travellers, couples, or business guests. The open-plan living area includes a sofa, dining space, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for a short or extended stay. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower, fresh towels, and essential toiletries. The apartment is located in a traditional Alfama building with low ceilings and narrow passageways, so taller guests may need to mind their heads. As part of the original layout, there are only two small street-level windows, one in the living room and one in the bathroom. These can be opened while you’re home to allow for air circulation. There is no dedicated parking, and the cobbled streets of Alfama are best explored on foot. Step outside and you’re surrounded by some of Lisbon’s most iconic sights. From charming miradouros to traditional Fado taverns, local cafés, and riverside strolls, everything is within easy reach. Baixa and Chiado are a 10-minute walk away, and the area is well connected to public transport, dining, and cultural spots. Our homes are set in a historic and touristic area, offering all the charm and convenience of central Lisbon. Expect cobbled streets, lively surroundings, and easy access to the city’s best spots. As with any traditional neighbourhood, there are a few quirks to keep in mind: older buildings, limited electrical capacity, and occasional street noise come with the territory. It’s all part of experiencing the city like a local. Electricity is included up to a maximum of 120 euros; any excess costs will be covered by the tenant.
