Direkte Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Cafés / Restaurants bietet das unmittelbar angrenzende Refrath (Bergisch Gladbach), ebenso wie gute Schulen und Kindergärten. Hinter dem Haus grenzt ein Pferdehof an, anschließend folgt ein Waldgebiet, das zum Spazierengehen und Fahrradfahren einlädt.
