The entire apartment has been recently renovated and decorated with attention to details and refined taste for design furniture and comforts. The earthy color palette of the apartment creates a warm, pleasant atmosphere. The space is clean and practical and accommodates comfortably up to 6 people. It'is located on the third floor of a historic building, with lift which is very rare in Florence, and comprises: - a cozy living room ( with 1 double sofa bed more suitable for 2 children) which opens onto a fully equipped kitchen creating a lovely open space - 2 spacious bedrooms with storage space and double size beds - 1 family bathroom with a large shower. The unit comes with air conditioning throughout the whole space, 3 autonomous and independent TVs and a Fiber Option WiFi connection. A fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, washer, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, ecc. Neighbourhood Since the Middle Ages, Piazza della Signoria has been considered Florence political centre and can be considered a sort of art gallery en plein air. The apartment is located within Duomo district in Florences historic city centre. The Duomo area constitutes the very heart of Florence and the area takes its name from Brunelleschis magnificent dome on the wonderful Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral. The Duomo neighbourhood offers an array of beautiful historical buildings and superb piazzas including the Mercato di San Lorenzo, the Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Repubblica, famous for its attractive cafes, patisserie shops, live music, street performers and caricature artists. Furthermore, the area is surrounded by the citys main cultural attractions, notably Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, the Bargello Palace and Casa Buonarroti, the former home of Michelangelo, not to mention the Uffizi Gallery and the museum dedicated to the citys cathedral Museo dell'Opera del Duomo. The area also has much to offer in terms of fine dining and exclusive boutique shopping. The top Italian fashion houses are located along Via Tornabuoni, Via Calzaiuoli and Via del Corso and include the famous names of Salvatore Ferragamo, Armani, Versace, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Tiffany & Co. and many more. For those choosing an apartment in this area, the Duomo quarter also offers several food stores otherwise known as alimentari, supermarkets, laundrettes and individual gift shops as well as being adequately served by the local public transport service. Transit Florence city centre is a ZTL zone which stands for limited traffic zone and therefore special rules apply to when you can enter this area. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras and access cameras (they will show either a red /green light) in order to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact one of the private garages in the centre (the one nearest the apartment you are staying in) and obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify their need for access in the ZTL and the garage will then note the vehicles number plate and forward it to the appropriate police head(hidden). IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ PAYING ATTENTION -The lead guest must be over 21 years old and will be required to sign a lease agreement upon arrival. That is for insurance, fiscal and legal purposes. All guests are required to show a valid identity card upon check-in if not, they will not be allowed to enter (due to Italian Police regulations). -for stays under 30 days TOURIST CITY TAX: Euro 4 per person per night (maximum 7 nights) of charge to be paid in cash upon arrival (4 per person) - Strictly no partying or loud noises. Please do not make too much noise when entering and leaving the flat in the evening and after 11 pm, as to respect our neighbors. - No outsiders allowed in the apartment without our approval, in order not to contravene the police regulations. - The final cleaning fee is intended as flat general cleaning and it's mandatory. Keep the place reasonably clean and tidy and leave the kitchen cleaned (no dirty dishes and garbage leftover). If not, please note that additional costs will be charged.
